CLIENT SERVICE AGREEMENT
Let’s start with the services you offer!
Every time you take on a new client to provide your services to, you’ll want to sign a contract with them.
Here’s our recommendation.
The Wedding Planning Agreement and Day of Coordination agreement are both for wedding planning professionals, the difference to the agreements is, if you’re doing the planning in the run up to the wedding or just helping with the day of the event.
The Venue Agreement is for any wedding or event venues.
The Florist Agreement is for you if you create floral displays or prepare flowers for weddings or events.
The Travel Planning Agreement is for you if you say are a travel agent or planning wedding or honeymoon travel for your clients.
The Hair Stylist Agreement and Makeup Agreement are both intended for use by those who do event or wedding hair and/or makeup.
The Wedding & Event Photography Agreement and Videography Agreement are created for visual creatives who capture priceless moments at weddings and events.
WEBSITE LEGALITY
As most wedding professionals don’t have a physical storefront, your digital storefront - that is - your website, becomes a lot more important to displaying your beautiful past work and making a fabulous first impression.
In order to protect your business and your site visitors, you’ll want the following two essential templates on your website, the Privacy Policy & the Website Terms & Conditions.
Selling through your site
If you also are looking to make sales through your site like selling a product (say flower arrangements, wedding planning guides, etc.) then you’ll want our Terms & Conditions for Online Sales.
If you’d like to sell your expertise as a course, say on how to start your own wedding venue, then we also have a Terms & Conditions for Online Courses.
INCORPORATION
If you’re ready to take the step to incorporate your business as a LLC, you’ll need an operating agreement in order to start the incorporation process.
We have two LLC incorporation templates.
The Single Member LLC is for you if you’re founding the LLC solo.
The Multi-Member LLC is perfect if you’re funding the LLC with one or more business partners.
Note: You just need one of these agreements, not both.
*Can't decide which template you need? If you think you might bring on a partner at some point, we recommend the Multi-Member LLC Operating Agreement.
hiring
If you’re looking to bring on team members to help you with your wedding business, such as day-of-event assistants, or maybe bringing on a virtual assistant for a little back-end business assistance, there’s a few ways to hire them.
If you’re not sure what classification you should give your new team member (ie. employee, contractor, intern, extern, etc.), then we recommend first starting with our e-Book, the Fundamentals of Hiring.
After that, you’ll know what classification you’d like to give your new hire, and then you may purchase the relevant template.
If you’re specifically looking to bring on another photographer/videographer to help on those big wedding days, then the Second Shooter agreement is our recommendation.
Marketing & collaboration
If you’re ready to take this next step in your business towards growth, then we have some legal templates to get you started on all things marketing and collaborations!
Here’s what each is used for.
If you plan to sell a product (say a course) and wish to have other industry peers (affiliates) promote it, the affiliate agreement is the right fit for you.
If you are looking to start your own podcast and invite guests on it, then the Podcast Interview Agreement is right for you.
Finally, if you’d like a little help from guest posters/guest writers on your blog or online magazine, then the Article Submissions Agreement is right for you.
SERVICE CANCELLATIONS & TERMINATIONS
What happens if your client’s event gets delayed or they wish to cancel the wedding or event?
Our Rescheduling agreement and Termination & Cancellation agreement is the appropriate template to sign with your client, overriding your original client agreement and cancelling the project.
