The first step in hosting a successful conference is finding the right speakers for your conference.

How do you ensure that your speakers will remain at the event the entire time? Exactly how many time is your speaker allowed to promote their product during their speech? Is everyone clear as to how much of the speaker’s speech can be shared later? 

This agreement covers all of that and more.

    • Statement on the requirement of the speaker to present a defined number of sessions at the conference

    • Requirement of the speaker to attend the full event/arrive and leave at specified dates and times, and interact with attendees

    • Details on the compensation that will be provided to the speaker (eg. conference fee waived, accommodations & meals, airfare, travel expenses, etc.)

    • When presentation materials are due to be submitted

    • Ability for the conference organizer to modify speakers presentations

    • Policies around speakers selling at the event

    • Details on the requirement of the speaker to promote the event

    • Policies around termination, cancellation, reimbursement or breach of the agreement

    • Agreement that the conference may use photographs of speaker for the purpose of promotion in the current year and future years

    • Permission for the speaker to speak at other conferences/events which are not a conflict of interest with your conference

    • Standard legal clauses, including: Limitation of liability, relationship of the parties, representations and warranties, intellectual property rights, confidentiality, dispute resolution, compliance with law, amendments, assumption of risk, waiver, indemnification, merger, and force majeure
